An exceptional artist, Nancy Murty works primarily in oils, finding inspiration in the natural world. Her paintings often feature birds, the rural landscape, flowers, and fruit. Even though her paintings are realistic, elements of abstraction and the impressionists are evident in her brushwork and approach to color.

A member of several art organizations, Nancy also volunteers with the Braddock’s Bay Bird Observatory’s spring and autumn bird banding programs.

You will often find Nancy working in studio #215, on the second floor of the Hungerford building. Open by appointment.
